Our hemodialysis area offers experienced, individualized care for patients requiring management of their kidney disease. Featuring advanced hemodialysis machines and comfortable reclining chairs, this program is supported by a team of registered nurses and technicians who specialize in maximizing the progress of each patient’s treatment.
Lymphedema Management
Bella Terra Streamwood’s lymphedema program evaluates and establishes a treatment plan for residents and is designed to reduce the swelling and control the pain associated with lymphedema. Our certified lymphedema specialist evaluates and manages residents’ conditions.
Peritoneal Dialysis
Our peritoneal dialysis offers flexible and individualized care for patients requiring management of their kidney disease. Supported by a team of highly-trained nurses and CNAs who undergo comprehensive training and competency programs – our programming maximizes the progress of each patient’s treatment.
Wound Care
Our multi-system approach to chronic wound care takes advantage of the most advanced therapies and treatments, including but not limited to ultrasound, debridement, and negative pressure therapies.
Memory Care
Bella Terra Wheeling has a specially designed Memory Care Unit that offers a holistic approach to quality care and services for those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. At Bella Terra, we treat each individual and recognize their physical, mental and social capacities and/or limitations.
Short-Term Rehabilitation
Our primary goal is to help guests recover their strength and restore their confidence and independence. Our comprehensive and therapeutic approach to post-hospital rehabilitation is specifically designed to help reduce their pain, improve their living skills, and enjoy greater functionality overall.
We offer the area’s highest patient-to-therapist ratio, along with two gyms, one focused on cardio and pulmonary rehab, the other on specialized restorative therapy 7-days a week. This comprehensive approach to physical rehabilitation and therapy often allows our guests to return home in as little as 7 days.
